07 Nov 2022Belarusian Railway ensures timely handling and terminalling of the first container train from China to Europe according to a full-time scheduleOn October 26, 2022, the first container train was dispatched on Xi'an – Duisburg direction according to the full-time schedule. The schedule was designed to synchronize the time of arrival, transshipment, switchover via division points and transportation along all sections of the railway with the 1435 mm gauge and the 1520 mm gauge.
The first container train within the framework of the implemented full-time schedule arrived at Belarusian Railway on November 2, 2022.
It took Belarusian Railway less than 9 hours to finish transshipping containers from a 1520mm gauge train to a 1435mm gauge train and get the train through customs control and other control procedures at the Belarusian-Polish border.
The train left the Brest-North station for Western Europe along a 1435mm gauge rail track on November 3, 2022.
