16 Mar 2023Belarusian Railway and Russian Railways discussed cooperationHead of Belarusian Railway Vladimir Morozov has met with Head of Privolzhskaya Railways, a branch of Russian Railways, Sergei Almeyev, on March 16, 2023.
The parties discussed cooperation as part of the International North-South Transport Corridor. They pointed to the increasing demand for cargo transportation along this route. The volume of cargo transportation along the land route of the North-South Transport Corridor and through the Caspian Sea is increasing. Moreover, new effective transport and logistics schemes and transportation terms are being worked out.
In this regard, the Heads of the Belarusian and Russian railway operators discussed matters related to the railway and port infrastructure development, as well as the prospects of using new transport and logistics schemes within the International North-South Transport Corridor to transport Belarusian products.
