The Belarusian Railway put into service a new passenger train to the National Airport Minsk

A ceremony to mark the opening of a new passenger route Minsk Pasažyrski – Minsk National Airport was held today at Minsk Pasažyrski station.

The Head of the Belarusian Railway Mr Vladimir Morozov said it has become a tradition to implement new railway projects in autumn. He reminded that last autumn a new route between Minsk and Rudziensk was put into service. “Today we are glad to introduce to the passengers our new transport product, said Mr Morozov. “The new train runs in a test mode. We will study and consider any passengers’ suggestions and proposals during the test period and will try to improve the technology. He also emphasized that the project has made it possible for passengers to get to the National Airport from any location having a railway station. The project provides for the development of intermodal transportation, integration of air and railway services and establishment of a single transportation system. Mr Morozov thanked all the participants and hoped the initiative would be a success.

The Minister of Transport and Communications Anatoly Sivak agreed with Mr Morozov and noted, “The railway experts and I think it is a promising project.
