City lines — transportation within the city of Minsk, the regional center and beyond, but not beyond the railway stations (local stations) located in the satellite towns.
On the 10th of September 2011 the Belarusian Railway introduced its city-lines project. New trains transport passengers on Minsk Pasažyrski – Ždanovičy – Bielaruś (Zaslauje) route. Later, the city-line service was extended to Rudziensk satellite town.
Today, the city-line trains provide a quick and comfortable transportation of passengers from Zaslauje and Rudziensk to Minsk and back.
The number of people using the service continues to grow. In August 2014 the total traffic amounted to 1.6 mln passengers, which is 27.5% higher than in 2013.Read more…
On the 7th of November 9 city-line train pairs will enter service on Minsk – Rudziensk route. It will take 48 – 50 minutes to travel from Minsk to Rudziensk. Besides, 25 regional economy class train pairs will be operated on the above-mentioned route.
Up to this, on the 7th of November an additional morning regional business class train No. 812/811 will be put in regular service on Minsk – Babrujsk route.Read more…
